On the edge of reason and insanity one may ask? Who
is there to go insane and what does sanity mean?
The edge of reason whatever that means is non
conformity to education, religion, science, politics, culture and the so called
norms of societies agreed conventions and rules. These laws, norms and rules, social
conventions and etiquettes are much the same difference. They keep the herd and the populace in check so called survival and safety and in the main have a fair
deal of success.
A slight degree of deviation is accepted as either
mentally ill, a genius, need for change because of challenge and adaptability
but generally in small degrees any major deviance that breaches the laws then
sets one on course for imprisonment or execution.
The danger to all these above scenarios is the one
who has been stripped of many of the trappings and conditionings, brain washing
and stifling hypnotic advertising and is considered not ‘known’, not mad, doesn't break the rules seems compassionate and yet not understood and cannot
be boxed and compartmentalised. Such a
one has gone over the edge of reason or everything and is in a position to be free of
rules and yet obeys them with a natural instinct because such a one has found
all abiding compassion and how can one define that, because if it is definable
then it is limited by logic and reason and they are subject to the conditioning
of the culture and age one abides in----so where does one find such a mind?
