Karma is used so often to justify or explain so
many incidents. The law of cause and effect
is used to often explain it, mind you in a duel world there maybe a smidgeon of
truth here.
Having strong principles and should one transgress
them, then punishment is needed, lesson learnt and so on and if one doesn't
have principles and beliefs or doesn't particularly pay attention or care about
them does one become immoral , wild and unruly?
Perhaps one has been told if your don’t have a
moral code or spiritual principle or such like then is likely to be no rules,
laws and regulations and there maybe carnage and merely the survival of the fittest. How does karma fit in here?
Has anyone ever tried this? Most of us are
conditioned into a religion, a culture, a political edict or a humanitarian code
of ethics, so perhaps we are all caught in the net of conditioning and brain
washed. For sure there is a law of cause and effect and many believe in reincarnation say that karma is a debt card and has to be paid off in this life and from many others. It is also said by some that being good, loving, kind and respectful expiates karma.
Is there a natural morality? Yes sometimes in
meditation when the mind is at rest a great joy, happiness and inner peace is
felt, one feels harmless, caring and compassionate so perhaps this transcends
all Karma, laws, regulations and dogmas.
Is this not worth exploring and pursuing?
SHACK
