Sitting in meditation or just contemplating nothing at all I become aware of me experiencing an experience and not being caught up in it or fascinated by the content and lost in its wonder or horror as the case maybe.
Sometimes I get startled and realise this is just another one these experiences that are fleeting and as said so many times 'not real' in the sense they can come and go and some forgotten or just a simple light distraction with no real meaning very much like clouds flitting across the background of the blue sky.
To me reality is the awareness as in the analogy of the sky and the clouds the programming and conditioning the every brain washing exposed by its flitting across the sky and like a still post and that which passes the post.
I often tried to 'pin' down the awareness and define and grasp its nature; just an electrical phenomena produced by the electrical firing of the synaptic's, neurons, dendrites, axons an and if it is just that all this activity is consciousness, just electrons and at death nowt then to me this does 'ring true'.
However being in awareness I felt well, is awareness which to me is consciousness just an energy and how does it fit with the creativity and the Universe and feel 'holy and divine and so peaceful' if it has no brain and flesh to work through and it is said to be omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent how does it function, does it think and so on.
Then I realised I am the thinking and reasoning conditioned mind so it is a mystery to me and a finite, brain washed, conditioned mind so it is a mystery to me however it is the Aware Consciousness created me / us / everything and is Consciousness of myself stripped bare of inculcated conditioning and so it is a the real deeper 'mind'.
Consciousness to coin a phrase 'has a mind of its own' and does not need anything and is a stand alone as it were and its functions have their own equivalents of synapse, neural junctions, axons and so on and it is like struggling to find a mind in concrete form it just not exist to anything so called solid in Earthly terms, its in the realm of energy, dream like propensities and so best left to itself and its creativity, to the human mind a mystery, to itself not so.
